Yet in spite of all the difficulties and stumbling blocks put in front of the domestic big automakers they still came through. You might it American ingenuity. You might call it luck.. Or simply put hard and consistent work and efforts. To its credit America is a place that takes in newcomers and ( until Obama) allowed them unimpaired to try out their new ( or different) ideas and be rewarded with the new products and innovations which they placed and introduced onto various markets.
It might be said that other cultures and communities are more rigid and entrenched in class structures. People are told to follow the rules , to follow class structures etc and not to question the boss by introducing new and different ideas / modalities / ways of thinking. That is of course until upper management returns from a high priced course at a distant luxury resort to expound the virtues of such. The classic line to keeping your job ( even in North America ) is that no matter how far fetched or even stupid the idea is to proudly state and announce “Now that idea has merit”. After all it be the “world’s stupidest idea” . Yet its the brainchild of the president of the company who is sitting to the right of you.
